The practice
Oldest City Financial Consulting, LLC is a St. Augustine firm serving business owners across Northeast Florida. It is led by Ashley J. Trimboli, E.A. — an IRS Enrolled Agent and Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor who has been in public accounting since 2002. The practice covers strategic tax planning, tax preparation, bookkeeping, fractional CFO work, retirement planning and estate planning.
That is six genuinely different services sold to overlapping but distinct audiences. A single “Services” page would have flattened all of it.
The problem with one page for everything
Somebody searching tax planning St. Augustine and somebody searching bookkeeping Ponte Vedra are at different points in different problems. One is a business owner who suspects they are overpaying; the other is drowning in receipts. Sending both to the same page means the page has to hedge, and a hedging page converts neither.
There is a credibility problem underneath it too. Most people do not know what an Enrolled Agent is, or that the designation is federal rather than state. If the site does not explain it, the visitor silently discounts it.
How the site is organised
The build splits into two independent page families rather than one generated grid:
- A page per service — CFO services, bookkeeping, tax preparation, tax planning, retirement planning and estate planning — each written to its own search intent.
- A page per service area, covering 33 Northeast Florida communities from St. Augustine, Jacksonville and Ponte Vedra out to Palm Coast, Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach, Nocatee, Orange Park, Fleming Island, Green Cove Springs and World Golf Village.
- Supporting pages that carry the trust load: about, testimonials, partners and contact.
The important decision here is what we did not do. Six services multiplied by 33 towns would be 198 pages, and every one of them would be a near-duplicate of the others. That is the classic doorway-page pattern, and it is the fastest way to get a professional-services site buried. Keeping services and locations as separate families means roughly 50 pages that each have a reason to exist.
Scoping lines that build trust
The estate planning page states plainly that the firm works alongside your attorney rather than in place of legal counsel. It is tempting to leave a line like that out, because it looks like turning work away. In practice it does the opposite: it tells a reader that the firm knows where its lane ends, which is exactly the signal someone wants before handing over their books.
Why static HTML
The site is hand-built static HTML. There is no CMS to patch, no plugin surface to get compromised, no database to go down, and hosting costs effectively nothing. For a practice whose pages change a few times a year, that is the right trade: the money goes into the content and the structure instead of into maintenance.
